One of the most important things over winter and the drier months is maintaining the moisture levels and hydration of your skin and hair. I know personally this is something I would previously avoid; not intentionally but simply because I didn't fully appreciate the difference it made until I actively sought to improve my skin.
After meeting with a skin specialist and receiving a comprehensive analysis of my skin, I learnt what I had been depriving my body of by not actively seeking to maintain the hydration of both my skin and hair. Below I've put together a review of some of the items I'm currently loving when it comes to face, body and hair hydration, which are easily accessible and won't break the bank.

HAIR
Keeping your hair hydrated may be something you don't think about as much as your skin (but is just as important), especially if you're like me and straighten your hair regularly. Sometimes its easy to forget that just because our hair may look silky and shiny, it isn't necessarily getting (or holding) the moisture it needs.
These products from Toni & Guy and V05 are amazing at helping to restore your hair's health, and keep it in beautiful condition without much additional maintenance. Both the T&G Nourish Reconstruction Mask and the V05 Hot Oil can be applied in the shower and then rinsed out, and the T&G Leave In Conditioner is perfect applied to damp hair and left to dry naturally or blow dried.
Toni & Guy Nourish Reconstruction Mask: a deep conditioning treatment applied to wet hair and left for about 5 minutes before rinsing, which helps to restore and deeply nourish your hair, enhancing softness and shine especially when it's very dry or damaged.
V05 Hot Oil: a serum which is perfect heated up (either place tube in a cup of warm water or run under the shower) and applied to wet hair before shampooing. Leave for about one minute then rinse out. Use once a week to assist with repairing damaged hair, nourishing and boosting hydration, reducing breakage and maintaining vibrancy in colour-treated hair.
Toni & Guy Leave In Conditioner: a cream perfect for applying to damp hair straight out of the shower, which helps to maintain your hair's moisture and is also perfect to apply to ends after blow drying or straightening.

I swear by Kosmea products. This Australian skincare company prides themselves on the use of Certified Organic ingredients, and has created the most amazing range of products which are suitable for all skin types and have amazing results. The same can be said for Grown Alchemist; their range of skincare products which also utilises a range of certified organic and active botanical ingredients work amazingly to maintain hydration and improve the look and feel of your skin.
Kosmea Rescue Balm & Rose Hip Oil: a deeply nourishing ointment and serum which when applied regularly can help to reduce many lasting skin issues including scarring, dry and sensitive skin, sun damage, stretch marks, wrinkles, acne and chapped lips. These really are products which I cannot speak highly enough about. One thing I would suggest would be to limit use to night time, as they are quite heavy. However as with any skin care products its totally up to you how & when you use them!
Grown Alchemist Body Treatment Oil: this beautiful product does wonders in improving the hydration, texture and elasticity of your skin. It's super absorbent and perfect used before moisturising or before applying your favourite night cream. I can guarantee you will be amazed at the results and how soft & smooth your skin will feel with maintained use!

Again, I can't speak highly enough about Kosmea products. The blend of certified organic & natural active ingredients work amazingly to keep your skin hydrated, soft & smooth without the concerns of products high in chemical active ingredients. Dermalogica is another skincare brand which uses a blend of natural active ingredients rich in vitamins and antioxidants to noticeably improve the skin's hydration and maintain a smooth and clear complexion.
Kosmea Replenishing Moisture Cream: I find this cream to be amazing used at night, as it is slightly heavy. It's Hyalurolift formula helps to intensely hydrate the skin, increasing radiance and filling fine lines (for those of us who have them!) It visibly plumps the skin, and reduce the signs of aging. Combining with Kosmea Certified Organic Rose Hip Oil helps to maximise the results even more.
Dermalogica Skin Smoothing Cream: this may just be the most beautiful-feeling skincare product I have ever used. It is described by Dermalogica as medium weight, however I find it to be incredibly light and silky. And the way it makes my skin feel after applying is beyond amazing; I don't think I've ever used a product that has ever made my skin feel so soft and smooth straight after using. Again it is a combination of natural ingredients, vitamins and antioxidants that work together to replenish moisture and maintain the hydration of your skin, leaving it feeling the best it ever has.
